Alba

Alba is a beginner-friendly overlay mosaic crochet blanket inspired by the wild thistles and coastal landscapes of Scotland.

The design was inspired by a trip to the Isle of Lewis, where bright purple thistles stood against soft sea colours and sandy beaches. That contrast between rugged native flora and calm coastal scenery became the foundation for the motifs throughout the blanket.

Using simple repeats and basic overlay mosaic crochet techniques, Alba is an enjoyable project for both new and experienced mosaic crocheters.
