The Twister

The Twister is created using the overlay mosaic technique.

It was developed from playing around with my Diamond Knots pattern. I really liked the effect of the yarn looking like it was twisting around, and The Twister was born.

Of course, being me, I couldn’t stop at one design, and kept playing and playing until I couldn’t decide which background pattern I liked the most. So, I just charted them all up.

This pattern has 5 different variations you can crochet.

  1. Design 1 – with a small diamonds and dots background

  2. Design 2 – with a striped background

  3. Design 3 – with a polka dot background

  4. Design 4 – with a filled and small diamond background

  5. Design 5 – with a cross background

It is entirely your choice which pattern to create.

Of course, you could end up making 5 different blankets or cushion covers.

The PDF has one easy-to-read chart for each different design (with Xs for DCs) and corresponding written instructions.

Two PDFs are available - one using US terms and one using UK terms.

You can use any yarn and corresponding hook you like for this pattern, just remember a tighter tension is better for mosaic crochet.

You can of course create any size you want with any of the patterns.
