Merry Gano was a beloved member of the crochet community. She was known for her creativity, her kind heart, and her love of mosaic crochet. She passed away in 2023 after a battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of inspiration and warmth.
I decided to release the last pattern that Merry tested for me to honour her and support cancer research. All profits from Nana’s Dresser will be donated to cancer research in Merry's memory.
As the pattern sales continue to grow, I am amazed by the outpouring of support from the crochet community. So far, Nana's Dresser has raised over £2095 for cancer research.
I am thrilled with the success of the donations, and I know Merry would have been so proud of what we accomplished. The crochet community really came together to support each other and make a difference in the world.
If you'd like to help support this amazing charity, you can still purchase the pattern, and all profits will be donated to Cancer Research on the 1st of every month.
The success of Nana's Dresser is a testament to the power of community and the impact that even small acts of kindness can have. It shows that even in the face of loss and grief, we can come together to honour those we've lost and make a positive impact on the world. And for crocheters everywhere, it's a reminder of the power of our craft to bring joy, comfort, and healing to those around us.
